We are seeking a skilled Service Technician – Mechanical Services to join our Energy & Resources division in Keilor Park. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fabrication, repair, and servicing of mechanical systems and equipment in heavy manufacturing facilities. Your work will ensure plant operations remain reliable, safe, and efficient through preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Travelling Role to Northern Suburbs, South-East Suburbs & CBD.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, fans, HVAC, hydraulic systems, and process machinery.
- Diagnose faults, carry out mechanical repairs, and replace defective parts.
- Respond to breakdowns with timely corrective actions to minimise downtime.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and calibration to meet safety and operational standards.
- Support installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
- Undertake workshop and site fabrication, including welding, grinding, fitting, and assembly.
- Maintain accurate service records and liaise with operators, engineers, and production staff.
- Promote a zero harm safety culture and comply with HSEQ standards.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or fabrication.
- Certificate III/IV in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, Maintenance, or Boilermaking.
- Welding/fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Strong mechanical problem-solving ability.
- Current driver’s licence (High Risk Work Licence, Confined Space, and Working at Heights certification desirable).
